The Student AMS is actively involved with educational outreach activities. The AMS visits schools all over the Wasatch Front, teaching students about weather through fun experiments. We visit over a dozen school each year. If you are interested in having the AMS teach your students about the weather at your school, contact Joel Lisonbee.
AMS members have also developed teaching materials for schools outside of the Wasatch Front, such as our book of 14 weather experiments with illustrations and our weather quizes. Lis Cohen has also developed Weather Outreach, a website teaching the general public about weather and climate. These materials can be visited or downloaded through the links below.
Because of the transition to our new website, weather quizzes are currently down.
